Quality

Makso produces high-quality electronics. Assembled PCBs are inspected using equipment like automatic optical inspection machines. Each PCB is also given a unique QR code, to which every detail of the production process is linked. This data is stored on one of our 50TB servers for quick retrieval in the future.

The advanced monitoring and the track-and-trace system are part of Makso’s quality management system. Working on quality is in our genes. Because of this, certification is not an end in itself but the result of the Makso approach. Makso continually strives to develop quality further and upgrade it.

Makso has the following quality marks and certificates:

ISO 9001:2015

ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management. It is used to assess an organisation’s ability to meet customer requirements, the laws and regulations applicable to a product and the requirements applicable to the organisation itself. Added to this, all the requirements taken together form good starting points for the setting up and organisation of a quality management system.

Makso has applied (and is still applying!) the ISO 9001 standard to establish a solid basis for our organisation and its activities and also to articulate and safeguard this solid basis.

IPC

The Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) was created back in 1957 to establish uniform “Acceptability Standards”. Initially, it was a small organisation with a relatively local scope (Chicago). Today, the IPC is a global professional organisation that formulates standards for the electronics industry. These standards are created and established by industry specialists (volunteers).

Today, the IPC’s headquarters are in Blackburn, Illinois. It has offices in several countries on the planet and more than 3500 members/participating companies

The IPC is a dynamic organisation that ensures new technologies and insights are quickly translated into standards.

IPC A-610

The IPC has created the widely-used and cited IPC A-610 standard for the assembly industry. Both producers and customers can use this standard to objectively assess the quality of assembled PCBs.

Makso ensures that all its production employees have the right skills and, bearing our emphasis on quality in mind, the right judgement too. It achieves this by organising training and refresher training for everyone at least once a year. By doing this, customers benefit from our certification and we do too.

IPC 7711/7721

The IPC 7711/7721 standard was drafted with the “Rework, Repair & Modification” of assembled PCBs in mind. The corresponding training covers all the guidelines necessary to responsibly re-solder, repair and modify components and PCBs. During this training, participants are put to the test both practically and theoretically.

Based on a specific step-by-step plan and instructions, about the tools and materials to be used, etc., employees are able to professionally rework, repair and modify components and/or repairs to the PCB itself. Thanks to the clear documentation, the technician and customer are both aware of what needs to be done to make the product available again and how.

Makso is committed to keeping its employees’ qualities up-to-date. The IPC 7711/7721 certification training helps it do this.

ESD cf. NEN-EN-IEC 61340-5-1

NEN-EN-IEC 61340-5-1 applies to activities like: production, processing, assembling, installing, packaging, labelling, maintaining, testing, inspecting, transporting and other handling of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and equipment susceptible to damage from electrostatic discharges greater than or equal to 100 V human body model (HBM).
